David Warner shared a special post On Ganesh Chaturthi has gone viral: People in India and Indian across the world celebrated the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31, Wednesday. Also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, the festival commemorates the birth of the Hindu god Ganesha.

Devotees marked this auspicious occasion with the installation of Ganesha’s clay murtis privately in homes and publicly on elaborate pandals and stages.

While many Indian cricketers wished their fans on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, one overseas player also took to his social media on this day: and it is none other than David Warner.

The Australian opener and former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain enjoys a massive fan following in India, having acclaimed his name as one of the greatest ever openers in international cricket and in the IPL.

Warner regularly interacts with his colossal Indian fanbase on Instagram where he frequently posts dubbing of Indian actors.

On Wednesday he posted a picture of himself praying with the Lord Ganesha above him.

David Warner hits fifty in ODI vs Zimbabwe

Earlier in the day, Warner was involved in an ODI match against Zimbabwe, the second of the series.

In the first ODI, on the gone by Sunday, Warner scored 57 runs off 66 balls with the help of 7 fours and one six. He made the chase of look 201 even more easier than it was already. Cameron Green was Australia’s star with the ball, picking up a maiden ODI five-wicket haul, and bundling Zimbabwe for 200.

Australia now have an unassailable 2-0 series lead. The third and last ODI will be played on Saturday. All the matches are being played at the Tony Ireland Stadium, Townsville in Queensland.
