Australia’s batting star David Warner will be cheering for Matildas in their clash against England in the Women’s World Cup semi-final. Warner has extended his support to Matildas but while doing so he has taken a cheeky swipe at his rivals in the process.
David Warner Roasted The England Cricket Team

David Warner is back from the recently-concluded tour of England after Australia retained the Ashes in a fiery 2-2 series draw with the host nation. The thrilling series ended on a controversial note as the decision of the umpire saw England turn the tide. The England cricket team was handed a replacement ball, which saw Australia lose three quick wickets when it swung and seemed considerably more than its predecessor.
The Australian cricket team eventually lost the game by 49 runs, missing out on the chance to win their first Ashes series in England since 2001. The controversial decision didn’t down well with many as several cricketers, experts, and fans took to their social media and expressed their disappointment over the same.
On Tuesday, David Warner took to his social media and extended his support to Matildas for their crucial game. In his Tweet, Warner also took a dig at the England cricket team by asking the team to be careful of the change in ball. He wrote:
“An early good luck to the Matildas. Just keep an eye out in case the Poms ask to change the ball,”
