Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli finally ended the agonizing 1205-days of wait as he registered his 25th Test century when he played a magnificent knock against Australia in the fourth and the last match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Virat Kohli Played A Memorable Knock
Kohli reached his first triple-figure mark in the longest format of the game since November 2019, when he reached the milestone in India’s first-ever pink-ball Test against Bangladesh at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. In that match, the former Indian skipper scored 136 runs from 194 balls with the help of 18 boundaries.
On Day 4 of the ongoing 4th Test match, Virat extended his patient innings and converted his stunning knock to triple-digit figures before the end of the second session. After the first half hour of the second session, Kohli scored a memorable century and became the quickest batter to touch the 75-century mark in international cricket.
Virat Kohli looked good to register a double century however, he eventually returned to the pavilion after scoring 186 runs off 364 balls, smashing 15 boundaries. Marnus Labuschagne caught him off Todd Murphy in the 179th over.

For the unversed, Virat Kohli is a Delhi native, with his entire family belonging to that area. Kohli was born and brought up in Delhi. And the ongoing match is taking place in Ahmedabad, which is the most famous city in the state of Gujarat.
Talking about the game, all thanks to this knock, India put up a strong total of 571 runs to get a 91-run lead despite being one batsman short. For the unversed, Shreyas Iyer is down with a back issue and didn’t come out to bat.
