Ever since India’s heartbreaking exit from World Cup at the hands of New Zealand in Semi-Finals, the rumors of a rift going on between Indian captain Virat Kohli and limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma are on its peak.
The speculations were so high that it led to the chances that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might opt for split captaincy.
However, a source close to the cricket team rubbished all the rumors and said the rumors are ‘absolute nonsense’. Even the bowling coach Bharat Arun revealed that the duo gets along well as Rohit often goes to Virat in order to discuss things.
Amidst all the reports, another incident has come to the limelight. Reportedly, Rohit Sharma has unfollowed Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on Instagram.
The new reports have added more fuel into the fire. Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka haven’t unfollowed Rohit from the social media platform. If further reports are to be believed than Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli haven’t spoken to each other since the World Cup campaign in England and Wales.
After all the Instagram chaos, Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram and posted a message on her Instagram story, which seemed to have been directed at the 32-year-old Rohit for unfollowing her.
Probably taking an indirect jibe at Rohit Sharma, on her Instagram story, she wrote:
“A wise man once said nothing. Only truth can shake hands with silence in a mess of false appearances…”
