The crowd at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium was going berserk with the chants of “DK…DK” when Dinesh Karthik walked in to bat. However, this has now become a ritual every time he comes to bat all thanks to his explosive performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

Dinesh Karthik, who made his comeback to the national cricket team after a long gap of 3 years, has carried the Indian side the same way he carried RCB in IPL 2022.

Dinesh Karthik Played A Fiery Knock

And DK was able to pull off another stellar performance for the Indian cricket team as he gave a perfect finish to the Indian side. The veteran walked in to bat when the Indian side was in some deep trouble, having lost their in-form batters early in the innings.

The 37-year-old hit smashed his maiden fifty in the shortest format of the game, which came after a long wait of 16 years after he made his India debut in T20I is in 2006.

Karthik and Hardik Pandya joined hands and stitched a 65-run stand as the duo added valuable runs in their 5.3 overs together in the middle. They took India from 56 in the first 10 overs to 113 runs in the last 10 overs, as they together smashed the Proteas bowlers to all the corners of the ground.

DK played a stunning knock of 55 in just 27 balls as he went into beast mode in the end overs in the 4th T20I match, smashing 9 fours and 2 sixes.
