Dinesh Karthik Gave A Massive Compliment To Rajat Patidar

Dinesh Karthik Gave A Massive Compliment To Rajat Patidar: It was all hugs, cheer, screams, and celebrations in the Royal Challengers Bangalore dressing room following their 14-run victory over the Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

All the players and support staff gave their hugs and wish to the man of the moment: Rajat Patidar, whose scintillating century – 112 unbeaten runs off 54 balls – helped them post a mammoth total of 207, which LSG fell 14 short of with KL Rahul’s 79 off 58 balls going in vain.

RCB wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik, who smashed 37 unbeaten runs off 23 balls in a 92* runs partnership off 41 balls with Patidar, was effusive in praise for the 28-year-old Indore batsman who became the first uncapped player to hit a century in the IPL playoff. Karthik, who’s played every season in the IPL, went on to say that Patidar’s innings was “probably” the best he’s ever seen by an uncapped batter.

Dinesh Karthik, the 37-year-old who’d forced his way back into the Indian team, lauded Patidar’s calmness under the immense pressure.

Speaking in a video uploaded by RCB, Karthik said: “Probably the best innings by an uncapped player that I have ever seen. Just outstanding. He’s a very cool, very calm, very shy personality actually, very quiet person. You get the feeling that he is lazy, but it is just his personality. I think he is a lovely guy who is hardworking, but with a very shy personality.”

Former RCB captain and talisman batter Virat Kohli too gushed about Patidar whose knock included 12 fours and 7 sixes. Kohli also warned other teams about the batsman from Madhya Pradesh.

“Wow. That was one of the best innings I have seen under pressure, by Rajat. And I have seen many. That level of striking, in this game – that’s some batting. Watch out for him,” Kohli said.
