Dinesh Karthik Named The Best White-Ball Bowler In World Cricket

Veteran Indian pacer Dinesh Karthik showered praise on Rauf’s talent, hailing him as “one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world.”

The Indian cricketer-turned-commentator praised Rauf’s journey from tennis ball cricket to international success on the sidelines of The Hundred.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Karthik said:

“Haris Rauf is one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world, especially in end overs — his story is beautiful with playing tennis ball cricket a few years back and getting picked by [Lahore] Qalandars, then doing so well in International cricket,”

Haris Rauf made his domestic debut for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 trophy. His international debut came in January 2020 and ever since then, he has become a mainstay of Pakistan’s limited-format squad. In less than three years, Rauf has played 62 T20Is and claimed 83 wickets at an average of 21.71.

Riding on several memorable performances, Haris Rauf has risen to prominence. He bowled his fastest delivery of 159 kmph during the T20 World Cup against England. In Pakistan Super League 2023, Rauf bowled a delivery at the speed of 154kph, the fastest of the tournament. His impressive figures of 3-34 in the same game gained him praise from all corners.
