he entire cricket world was left stunned after the former Indian skipper, Ms Dhoni announced his retirement from the international level of the game. The legendary wicket-keeper batsman picked the auspicious day of India’s 74th Independence Day to make the big announcement.

His future with the Indian cricket team had become a matter of discussion for a long time now. However, ending all the speculations once and for all, MS Dhoni took to his social media and announced the big news.
MS Dhoni made left his fans emotional as he shared a video featuring his journey of 16 years, with ‘main pal do pal ka shayar hon’ a classic Hindi song played in the background.
Sharing the heart-touching video, Dhoni wrote:
“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired (sic)”,

Soon the cricket fraternity started pouring wishes for the legendary cricketer. Fans and celebrities from all walks of life too joined the bandwagon and flooded the social media with their heartfelt tribute.
Among them, a tweet has been going viral which was shared by the associate of former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. In his tweet, Sarjan Pal Singh revealed what APJ Abdul Kalam used to say when MS Dhoni used to bat. He wrote:
“Dr #Kalam never watched TV but often he would ask cricket scores, whenever India was playing. If things looked bleak, he would ask, “is the captain @msdhoni still not out?” If i said “yes” He would smile and say “Don’t worry the captain would set it all right” #DhoniRetires“
