A picture of Sara Tendulkar hugging Shubman Gill has gone viral: Here’s the truth behind it

Fake image alert: The image of Sara hugging Shubman Gill, who is sitting on a chair, going viral on social media is fake and fabricated. The truth is that someone has edited that image which originally had Sara’s brother Arjun Tendulkar in it, and morphed Shubman Gill’s face over Arjun’s face.
This truth was unveiled by D-Intent Data, which is a News Data Research Organization that focuses on “Neutral Fact-Checking And Intent Analysis” and claims to be a “Propaganda and Fake News Detection Centre”.
“FACT: A digitally altered image of Sara Tendulkar with cricketer Shubman Gill has been shared, claiming she is dating the cricketer. Upon research, we found the original image that features Sara Tendulkar with her brother Arjun Tendulkar,” D-Intent Data tweeted, bringing light to the fact about the viral picture.

Sara Tendulkar had posted this photo with Arjun on Arjun’s birthday in September.
“She shared the image on the birthday of her brother on 24 September. It has nothing to do with reality.
INTENT: Users are circulating digitally altered images of the daughter of former cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar with false claims to get the spotlight on social media.”
While neither Sara Tendulkar nor Shubman Gill has confirmed the dating rumors, fans believe that the duo are keeping their relationship a secret. They have had some sweet public interactions on Instagram with Sara Tendulkar wishing Gill his birthday on multiple occasions. The paparazzi even spotted them together at a restaurant in Mumbai, though it was said to be an event for Jio.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill is participating in the World Cup 2023. After missing the first two games due to dengue, in his 4 innings so far, Gill has scored 104 runs at a strike rate of 95 with a half-century against Bangladesh.
