The whole country is thrilled about the recent ceremony to consecrate the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was there and performed rituals to place the idol of Lord Rama in the temple. Many prominent figures from the country, including those from the cinema, sports, and business sectors, attended the significant occasion. However, notable Indian cricketers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were absent from the event.
The duo received invitations to the historic event but did not attend. Reports suggest that the Indian cricket team gathered in Hyderabad for their initial practice session on Sunday, January 21, in preparation for the upcoming five-match Test series against England. While most players, including Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli, participated in the practice session, skipper Rohit Sharma chose to have a personal training session in Mumbai.
Did Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni Attend Ram Temple Consecration Ceremony?
The Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, joined the team on Monday, January 22, and could not attend the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. Virat Kohli, who received a personal invitation to the event at his Mumbai residence along with wife Anushka Sharma, also missed the event due to personal reasons. It’s noteworthy that the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) announced in a press release that Kohli has withdrawn from the first two Tests of the series against England in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Virat Kohli has requested to be withdrawn from the first two Tests of the upcoming IDFC First Bank Test series against England, citing personal reasons. He has communicated his decision to Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors, emphasizing that while representing the country is his top priority, certain personal situations require his presence and undivided attention.
The BCCI respects his decision, and the Board, along with the team management, has extended its support to the star batter. They are confident in the abilities of the remaining squad members to step up and deliver commendable performances in the Test series.
So except Ravindra Jadeja No active cricketer came to Ayodhya for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha or maybe camera and media failed to capture photos..
Specially hurt for Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni who got invitation from Ram Mandir trust.
जय श्री राम।

Former India skipper and current CSK skipper MS Dhoni was also not present at the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. Dhoni is currently recovering from a knee injury, which could explain his absence from the event. As the IPL 2024 is approaching, Dhoni may be focusing on his recovery and preparation for the upcoming cricket season.
