While away from the field, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni continues to make headlines and grab the attention of the fans on social media.
Recently, on Friday, a video went viral in which the video uploaded claimed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni had apparently given a ride to a youngster in Ranchi from the stadium to his house. This video caught spread like wildfire with the fans hailing Dhoni’s humbleness and humility toward a young cricketer of his hometown. This is something that perhaps no other such high-profile cricketer has ever done.
Rehabbing from his knee injury, Dhoni has been spending a good amount of time in the gym and also recently started hitting the nets at the JSCA International Stadium in his hometown of Ranchi.
A video has gone viral on social media wherein a young cricketer in Ranchi made a blog involving Mahendra Singh Dhoni and what could be said just the stuff of dreams for this youngster.
Did MS Dhoni gave a ride to his player from the stadium in Ranchi on his bike?
A fan tweeted this video with the caption, “MS Dhoni gave lift to a young Cricketer on his bike in Ranchi.
What a beautiful gesture by MS Dhoni – He is an emotion, The GOAT..!!”
However, while initially it looked like Mahendra Dhoni gave a lift to his youngster in Ranchi, fans then turned their Sherlock Holmes brains on to decipher if it actually was Dhoni.
One fan opined that the claims of the youngster in the video could be fake as he took Dhoni’s clip at the stadium and then someone else posed to be Dhoni on the bike.
This fan tweeted: “I have a theory: Dude just got MS Dhoni in the background of the video at the beginning and then falsely claimed it was Dhoni who gave him the lift I presume with plethora of bikes he has, Dhoni would opt to ride a better vehicle than the one that causes such pollution”
Another fan on Twitter pointed out that the shoes Dhoni was seen wearing in the bike video were completely different from the shoes in the video when he was in the stadium.
MS Dhoni set to return to IPL in 2024
Dhoni had underwent a knee surgery soon after he propelled CSK to their 5th IPL title in the IPL 2023 season, defeating Gujarat Titans in a last-ball thriller in Ahmedabad.
The 41-year-old had struggled throughout the IPL with his knee injury, but battled it and played all the matches. After the surgery, he was quickly back in the gym and for his rehab, and now these pictures from the Ranchi stadium further gave delight to Dhoni and CSK’s fans. He had confirmed that he’d like to play another season in the IPL.
