The Virat Kohli versus Gautam Gambhir tussle in Lucknow following the RCB vs LSG match took everyone by storm. Seeing two superstar and highly followed personalities engage in a heated verbal battle was shocking.

The RCB star had also been involved in another verbal battle during the game with LSG’s Naveen-ul-Haq.

Both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were handed 100 percent match fees fines by the BCCI.

And Naveen-ul-Haq was handed 50 percent match fees fine for his aggressive altercations with Virat Kohli.

When Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir came almost head-on during their clash, a number of people from both the teams and staff were needed to separate them.

LSG captain KL Rahul, despite suffering from a thigh injury and still padded up after coming on as a number 11, was seen pacifying Gautam Gambhir constantly and stopping him while the LSG mentor moved aggressively toward Virat Kohli.

Amit Mishra, the last batter to get out, was still in his helmet and stood like a wall ahead of Virat Kohli, waiting for to stop the fight and take Kohli away from the scene of action before things get out of hand. Vijay Dahiya, the LSG Assistant coach, was also nearby Mishra and separated Kohli. Later on, RCB captain Faf du Plessis, RCB’s Glenn Maxwell and LSG’s Marcus Stoinis also closed in on Virat Kohli to cool the matter down.

Amid all these fines being handed out by the BCCI to Gambhir, Kohli, and Naveen for their heated verbal duels, a fan made a hilarious comment stating that even KL Rahul and Amit Mishra should be fined double their match fees for stopping the fight.

“Amit Mishra and KL Rahul should be fined 200% of match fees for interrupting the fight,” a fan tweeted.

This comment from the fan perhaps embodied all fans’ emotions as everyone was so entertained by this clash of titans – Kohli and Gambhir – that they want to see more of it; fans are hoping for RCB and LSG to meet again in the playoffs.

Meanwhile KL Rahul has been ruled out for the remainder of the IPL 2023. LSG have roped in Karun Nair as Rahul’s replacement for the rest of the season.
