Fans Are Trolling Babar Azam Left, Right, And Center

Pakistan men’s cricket team captain and star batter Babar Azam is gearing up for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League. The 2023 season of the Pakistan Super League is all set to kickstart from, February 13, and this year, Babar has found a new home as he will be playing for Peshawar Zalmi. 

Yes, the former Karachi Kings captain has joined Peshawar Zalmi ahead of the new season and will captain the side this year. Ahead of the new season, Babar Azam, who recently won the ICC Cricketer of the Year award for his batting exploits in 2022, is trying to add a few new shots to his style to make himself more dangerous.

ICC Reveals Men's ODI Team of the Year; Names Babar Azam as Captain

Recently, the official handle of Cricket Pakistan shared a video of Babar Azam batting in the nets and playing certain unorthodox shots. In the video, Babar can be  seen playing a few scoops over the fine leg. Sharing the video Cricket Pakistan wrote: “Babar Azam, the new Mr 360”.

The video went viral in no time and was flooded with hilarious reactions from the fans. The caption of the video, which referred to Babar Azam as “the new Mr. 360,” was not well received by the fans of Ab de Villiers, who mocked the Pakistan captain.

Talking about the awards, Babar Azam won the ICC ODI Cricketer Of The Year Award and the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. In 2022, Azam amassed 1184 Test runs at a shade under 70, 679 at 85 in ODI cricket, and led his side to the T20 World Cup semi-final in Australia, making 735 runs at a strike rate of 123 across the year in the format.
