The Indian skipper Virat Kohli continued with his amazing T20 form and gave a powerful performance in the ongoing 1st ODI match against England in Pune. As the match kickstarted, the toss was won by the England cricket team who chose to bowl first. Virat walked-in to bat at number 3 after Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Ben Stokes at 28 runs.
Virat formed a brilliant partnership with Shikhar Dhawan and together they took the match by storm. A 105-run stand for the 2nd wicket came to an end in the 33rd over when Mark Wood struck and removed the Indian skipper. The Indian skipper walked back to the pavilion after he was caught by Moeen Ali (bowled by Wood). He scored 56 runs off 60 balls, where he smashed 6 fours.

His wicket came from nowhere and he was dismissed for 56 runs from 60 balls. The Indian skipper was looking so good for a century however, he missed it once again. Though he hasn’t been able to convert his scores to triple digits and has had a below-par 2020 compared to his high standards, however, he has scored the most 50+ scores in ODI since January 2019.
During his knock, Virat also crossed 10,000 runs on Indian soil in International cricket. He is the fastest cricketer to reach this milestone in only 195 innings.
Meanwhile, as soon as Virat Kohli was dismissed, social media was already flooded with amazing reactions from Twitterati. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to their social media to hail the brilliance of the modern-batting legend.
