India’s star bowler Mohammed Siraj produced a stellar effort for the Indian cricket team on the 1st day of play in the ongoing Dominica Test against the West Indies by taking an incredible flying catch to dismiss Jermaine Blackwood from Ravindra Jadeja‘s bowling.

After opting to bat first, the Windies have already lost four wickets in the first session. Though Siraj didn’t manage to get a dismissal with the new ball despite bowling a threatening spell, his catch stole the show tonight.

The moment took place on the last ball before the lunch break. The Indian pacer, who was standing at mid-off, dived with a full tilt towards his left-hand side to take a stunning one-handed catch from his right hand, despite the ball looking all set to go beyond him.

Siraj managed to hold on to the ball even as landed hard on the ground, scrapping his elbows in the process. The video of the same has been going viral on the internet, watch it here:

Meanwhile, the fans were left in awe of the brilliant effort made by Siraj. Check out the reactions of the fans to it:

Talking about the ongoing game, the Indian cricket team made a stellar start to the game as Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed both the Windies openers with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur also getting one scalp each.

Ashwin, who was ignored for the World Test Championship final against Australia a month earlier, dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kraigg Brathwaite. Shardul Thakur then had Raymon Reifer caught behind in his first over, while Jermaine Blackwood was dismissed after Siraj took a stunning one-handed catch. At the end of the first session, debutant Alick Athanaze was unbeaten at 13 on the crease.
