VIDEO – Fans Reject Virat Kohli’s Request And Hardik Pandya At The Wankhede Stadium

Hardik Pandya faced yet another instance of being booed by fans before the start of the ongoing game between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The franchise’s controversial decision to appoint Pandya as the captain of the team following the sacking of Rohit Sharma has drawn criticism from many quarters. Despite Mumbai Indians’ recent impressive performances, Pandya continues to be targeted by fans wherever the team plays this season. While some expected the fans to mellow down following the team’s success, the hostility towards Pandya persists.

Despite hopes for a change in sentiment, fans remained resolute in expressing their discontent towards Hardik Pandya. Once again, a few sections of the audience targeted the Mumbai Indians skipper as he stepped out for the toss on Sunday (April 14).

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet, watch the viral video here:

Talking about the ongoing game, Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mumbai Indians decided to play with an unchanged playing XI while CSK made one change to their playing XI that defeated KKR earlier this week. Speaking at the toss, Pandya said:

“We would like to bowl first, dew will come into play. It (pitch) looks better than the last game, expecting a lot of runs. Need to stick to the basics. Winning is very important to get the momentum. We were able to win two games convincingly,” said Hardik Pandya.

“That’s the beauty about IPL, everyone has to contribute. Your team will be able to achieve goals eventually. The dew started coming post 10 overs (in the last game.) It gets heavier in the evening. Same team,” he added.
