India’s swashbuckling batsman Rohit Sharma was rested moments before the 1st T20I of the ongoing 5-match T20I kickstarted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian skipper Virat Kohli had confirmed that Rohit has been rested for the first ‘couple of games and isn’t injured.
Well, the decision of resting Rohit, especially when the T20 World Cup is just around the corner, didn’t go down well with the fans and most of the cricket fraternity as well.
Rohit was also missing from India’s playing XI for the 2nd T20I on Sunday as he was being rested. However, he was present at the team’s dugout to cheer for his teammates. While he was sitting there, he was caught eating something during the game and what’s more hilarious is the fact that Rohit was seen hiding his food by covering it behind one of the staff members but the chewing made things pretty clear.
