Ritika Sajdeh, the wife of India skipper Rohit Sharma, posted a couple of Instagram stories as the opener slammed his 5th T20I century on Wednesday in the 3rd T20I against Afghanistan in Bangalore.

Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh’s massive partnership of 190 runs in 95 balls took India from 22/4 to 212 on a pitch that behaved as a two-paced surface for three-fourths of India’s innings before the ball started to come on nicely.

Rohit struggled early for timing and execution as there was extra bounce – to which Virat Kohli and Sanju Samson succumbed for ducks – and also turn.

However, the opener battled out the tough period for the first half of his innings, while getting lucky as well with his false shots. He exploded magnificently later on going from 17 (24) to 55 (47) at the start of the death-overs phase, finishing with 121* off 69 balls.  Rohit Sharma, who had been dismissed for ducks in the previous two games, creamed 11 fours in his innings along with smashing 8 eye-catching sixes.

At the other end, Rinku Singh, who remained unbeaten on 69 runs in 39 balls, played the perfect second-fiddle role before he, too, slammed the Afghan bowlers for a flurry of boundaries. The 20th over, bowled by Karim Janat, went for 36 runs, which included a six off a no-ball.

Ritika Sajdeh posts a funny Insta story about his “struggling fingers” as Rohit Sharma smashed a century

It is a famous superstition of Ritika’s that she keeps fingers of both of her hands crossed whenever Rohit Sharma is batting. Since Rohit batted for the entire 20 overs today, her fingers started to pain, but she bore it.

She posted two Insta stories. In one she captioned, “Special, just special” with a BCCI post for Rohit Sharma. In her other story, she captioned, “Also, fingers are struggling.”

What a knock by the captain – India in deep trouble at 22/4 and the skipper stood up and scored a marvelous century. This is the Hitman show. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/NGVXLmv0QR
