“Sanju… Sanju…“, the chants for the Rajasthan Royals‘ captain Sanju Samson lighted up the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata as he once again stepped up for his side and played a sensational knock in the ongoing Qualifier 1 game of IPL 2022 between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals.
The Kerala-based keeper-batter, who was left out of the Indian team for the upcoming 5-match T20I home series against South Africa, had a point to prove in the playoffs. Samson has had a decent run in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, however, he had played some crucial knocks for his side, helping the team to qualify for the playoffs stage. Coming into the ongoing Qualifier 1, he had amassed 374 runs including 2 fifties at a commendable strike rate of 147.24.

Talking about the ongoing game, Samson walked out to bat 3rd position after the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal and formed an amazing partnership with their in-form batter Jos Buttler. Both Buttler and Samson took the game by storm and smashed the star bowlers to the cleaners.
Samson took the game by storm and played a stunning knock of 47 runs off 26 balls, smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes. During his terrific cameo, Samson also achieved another milestone by completing 3000 runs as a keeper for the Rajasthan Royals.
