Cricket to us is more than just a game. Besides a great display of sportsmanship cricket also offers enthralling entertainment and antics. Be it Shreesanth’s dance after hitting a six to Andre Nel or Dada’s T shirt swirl at the Lords, cricket has always been entertaining. Some moments are just so funny that you can actually roll on the floor laughing upon them. Something similar happened in a Ranji game.
While our focus is often on international cricket we end up missing the fun the domestic circuit offers. It was only yesterday that a WagonR was seen roaming around on the cricket field at Palam amid a match between Delhi and UP. Now there’s this other incident from Ranji which will set you laughing insane. This time the dose of entertainment hails from Raipur! In a match between Punjab and Chattisgarh, the all rounder Gurkeerat Maan scored a staggering century on his way to a knock of 111 from 112 balls.
Of course it’s one hefty achievement but there’s more to it. More than the knock it’s about the celebration of the knock that Gurkeerat Mann showcased. After he hit triple figures he abandoned his bat and helmet and sat on the ground like a king. Well, Punjabis are always fun to watch and this time Maan Sahab took it too far.
The sight of Gurkeerat Mann’s celebration was just hilarious and another corroboration of the fact that no one can beat a Punjabi when it comes to being entertaining. Well played mate, and thank you for tickling our funny bones with the manner of celebration.
