Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are two of the biggest batting superstars of their respective national cricket teams. They enjoy a huge fan following and are often compared to each other for their batting skills and consistency.

Over the years, several experts and former cricketers also get involved in the heated debate. The latest ones to compare these two batting stars are former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar as they gave their verdict on the million-dollar question.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Singh hailed Kohli and reckoned that Babar Azam has a long way to go to catch up with the Indian superstar. He said:

“Virat Kohli has established himself as a great, while Babar Azam still has a lot to do. He will reach there someday, as he is a wonderful player. He is very good in Test cricket, but maybe T20 doesn’t suit him a lot,”

Further, Pakistan legend Akhtar, who also featured in the video, echoed the same sentiments. Akhtar said that Babar is in the making to become the greatest batter. He also called out criticism of Babar’s batting as well. He said:

“Virat Kohli is the greatest, and Babar Azam is in the making to be the greatest batsman ever. He is trying to get better in T20s. People are behind him for no reason,”

Meanwhile, both King Kohli and Azam will come face-to-face against each other during high-voltage India vs Pakistan cricket match during the ODI World Cup 2023. Recently, the BCCI and the ICC announced the much-awaited schedule for the ODI WC 2023, which will kickstart with a clash between the previous edition finalists England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The Indian cricket team will get their tournament underway with a game against Australia on October 8, which is scheduled to be held in Chennai. The big game between India and Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
