IPL 2023: Harbhajan Singh Named 4 Teams That Will Qualify For The Playoffs

Harbhajan Singh Named 4 Teams That Will Qualify For The Playoffs: The ongoing 2023 season of the Indian Premier League is now heading towards its business end and the race to qualify for the playoffs is going on in full swing. Defending champions Gujarat Titans is sitting at the No. 1 position in the IPL 2023 points table, with 12 points from nine matches played so far and they have the best chance to make it to the top-4 for the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are sitting at the bottom of the playoffs table, having won only three out of the nine matches played so far. From here on, each and every match is important for every team that is in the fight for the playoffs. Any hiccup can end the chances of a franchise making it to the playoffs this year.

Harbhajan Singh Made A Big Prediction

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh who has played for teams like the Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders during his playing days, has predicted four teams that, according to him, are most likely to reach the playoffs.

As per Harbhajan Singh, defending champions Gujarat Titans, MS Dhoni’s CSK, his former side MI, and RCB will reach the last four.

No Place For RR And LSG

Harbhajan has surprisingly left out Rajasthan Royals, which reached the final last year and is doing amazingly well this season as well. He has left out Lucknow Super Giants as well, which is sitting at the number 2 position in the points table.

Speaking to the Star Sports show, Harbhajan said:

“Jaha tak mujhe lagta hai, ek toh aapki GT jaur rahegi waha pe. Dusri jo team hai, waha par Chennai Super Kings jarur rahegi. Teesri team Mumbai Indians. Abhi vo bahut peeche hai par meri apni soch hai ki vo waha par rahegi. Aur RCB iss baar mujhe lagta hai pehle 4 mein dikhegi. RR mujhe lagta hai waha rahegi par in the end koi na koi aage nikal jayega. Mumbai Indians aage nikal jayegi.”

(which roughly translates to: As far as I think one will be GT. The second will definitely be the Chennai Super Kings. The third team is going to be MI. You might say that they are so low at present, but they will reach and the fourth will be RCB. I think RR will be on the verge, but in the end, somebody will leapfrog them. Mumbai Indians might overtake them.)
