The Dhoni fever is so high this time that the captains of the opposition teams have acknowledged this phenomenon, saying that the fans are using the opportunity to bid farewell to the greatest captain ever.
Notably, Dhoni had said after the end of the 2021 season that he will bid farewell to the game only after he gets a chance to say goodbye to the CSK fans at the Chepauk Stadium, considering how the team hasn’t played since they won the title in 2018. He has now got the opportunity to play at their den with CSK returning to their home ground after a long gap of 3 or more years.
Stephen Fleming Gave A Big Update About MS Dhoni’s Retirement
While Dhoni has himself accepted that he is in the last phase of his career, however, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming has now stated that he hasn’t said anything of the sort to him. He gave a massive update by revealing: “No, he hasn’t indicated anything,”
Earlier during the game against KKR, Dhoni had said that the fans at the Eden Gardens, along with those at other stadiums, are bidding him farewell. He had said:
“I will just say thanks for the support, they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd,”
