Harbhajan Singh Taught A Good Lesson To Fans Who Trolled Arshdeep Singh

‘Catches win matches’, they say. The statement still remains true till date as Arshdeep Singh dropped a crucial catch which could have completely changed the result of the match against Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan came face-to-face for the second time on Sunday in Dubai in the Super 4 stage and this time it was Babar Azam’s side that won the game by 5 wickets.

Just like the previous contest, the game turned out to be a last ball thriller, credits to Arshdeep Singh for his stunning yorkers, however, the pacer missed a simple catch earlier in the game that could have changed the course of the match. Khushdil Shah (14 off 11) and Asif Ali (16 off 8) steered Pakistan past the winning mark with one ball to spare. And there was a crucial catch that was dropped in the 18th over of the chase off the bowling of Ravi Bishnoi. Asif survived the catch after Arshdeep dropped a sitter. Had he taken that catch, Pakistan could have gone on back foot again in the chase and team India would have got a grip on the clash.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Indian side lost the game, fans on social media started trolling Arshdeep Singh for dropping a sitter. From memes to jokes, there were many who went hard on the pacer and started trolling him mercilessly.

Amidst all the criticism and trolling, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who is very active on social media, came out in support of the young bowler. In his Tweet, he slammed the shameless trolls for saying cheap things about the Indian bowler. He said:
