India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to lead the Indian cricket team in the upcoming T20I series, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence on Saturday on new year’s eve ahead of the upcoming Sri Lanka’s tour to India starting on January 3. Hardik was accompanied by his brother and fellow India cricketer Krunal Pandya.
Later, after the meeting, Hardik Pandya took to his social media and shared some pictures from the meeting and thanked Jay Shah for spending time with them. He wrote: “Thank you for inviting us to spend invaluable time with you Honourable Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji. It was an honour and privilege to meet you,”

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya is all set to lead the Indian cricket team for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Hardik was named the captain of the T20I team and was also promoted to vice-captain in ODIs against Sri Lanka which will kickstart in the second week of January. Rohit Sharma will lead the team in the ODIs.
Hardik had a terrific 2022 where he made a stunning return to his form and led Gujarat Titans to IPL 2022 title in their very first season. Riding on his stellar performances, he made a blockbuster comeback in the Indian national cricket team, and ever since then, there has been no turning back. He played a crucial role with both bat and the ball and won many games for team India. Not just this, Hardik led the Indian cricket team successfully in Ireland and New Zealand, and now he is all set to lead team India in the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka.
