Hardik Pandya was included in India’s squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury in the Men in Blue’s fourth group match against Bangladesh, forcing him to miss the rest of the tournament.

India did really well in the early stages of the ICC event, winning 10 matches in a row and reaching the final. Unfortunately, Australia put an end to India’s winning streak by winning the final with six wickets.

After getting injured in the 2023 World Cup, Pandya hasn’t played. People are hoping to see him back in action during IPL 2024.

Hardik will captain Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024

Hardik Pandya made a return to his original IPL team, Mumbai Indians (MI), for the upcoming season. The five-time champions traded with Gujarat Titans (GT) in an all-cash deal to bring him back.

Having captained GT for two seasons, Pandya led them to a championship win in 2022 and a runner-up finish in the next edition. Mumbai Indians named him as their new captain, succeeding Rohit Sharma, who led the team to five IPL titles.

IPL 2024 is crucial for Pandya as he prepares for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.
