A brave knock of 93 in the first test of the ongoing test series seemed very promising but since then Hardik Pandya’s performance has only dipped to worse. Batting continues to disappoint India in South Africa and how Hardik Pandya has been irresponsibly throwing his wicket away is condemnable. 3 irresponsible dismissals in last three innings including a very lazy run out makes him one of the culprits of India’s woes in South Africa.

HARDIK PANDYA THROWING AWAY HIS WICKET
Hardik Pandya has become a regular in the Indian side across formats. A lot is expected of him but the way the all-rounder has been literally throwing away wickets has become a cause of worry. Twitter has slammed Hardik Pandya’s irresponsible attitude and the fact that he doesn’t seem to be learning from his mistakes. Twitter has also slammed all those who compared Hardik Pandya with legendary Kapil Dev and even Ben Stokes for that matter.

Hardik got out for a duck in the first innings of the third test and if you would see his dismissal you would wonder what was he even trying to do. This wasn’t the first time in this series when he made an unforgivable error but even in both the innings at The Centurion, he wasn’t done by the greatest of deliveries but his own mistakes and laziness.
Having opted to bat first, India got all our for just 187 with Virat Kohli top-scoring with a knock of 54. Cheteshwar Pujara too played a marathon innings for his 50 and put up a really solid try but besides these two batsmen, all other batsman continued to disappoint. But it was for Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s heroics towards the end of the innings that took India past 150. Bhuvneshwar Kumar played a very crucial cameo of 30 runs and then he also picked up Markram towards the end of the innings.
BHUVNESHWAR THE HERO, HARDIK THE CULPRIT
While Twitter is all praises for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya is under some heavy slamming coming in from Twitter.
Here’s how Hardik Pandya has been slammed by Twitter

Send back Pandya. He doesn’t deserve to play for India in any format.

Hardik Pandya definitely needs to work on his game awareness. Bhuvneshwar wanted to cross while the ball was in the air, and Pandya just stood there. #SAvIND

The shot that Hardik Pandya played makes all the hardwork done by Kohli and Pujara go in vain. #SAvIND
