India’s sensational all-rounder Hardik Pandya hailed ‘superstars’ of 2nd T20I for India – Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli. Both the cricketers stole the show last night with their powerful performances as they took the Indian cricket team to victory to level the ongoing 5-match T20I series against England.

Ishan Kishan, who opened the innings for team India, made a powerful debut for team India. On the other hand, Virat, who has been on the receiving end of criticism, also marked his return to form.

Virat walked out to bat with all-guns-blazing after team India had already lost KL Rahul at 0/1. He joined hands with Ishan Kishan for a 94-run stand before getting to the landmark with a boundary.

While Virat was more defensive in his approach, on the other hand, Ishan went for big hits and boundaries regardless of the bowler and smashed 56-runs off 32 balls, his knock was laced with 5 fours and 4 sixes. However, the debutant was dismissed after he tried to switch hit for the second time off Adil Rashid.

Later, after Ishan was dismissed out for LBW, Virat and Rishabh Pant took the match by storm and after Pant fell for a 13-ball 26, Iyer joined Kohli. Though the run-rate had come down to less than six, but Kohli soon brought up his with a six in the over.

Kohli played a stunning knock of 73 runs, where he smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes, including the winning sixer.

Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with amazing reactions from the netizens on this. Several cricketers and experts also took to their social media and applauded the performances of the Indian cricketers.

Among many, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya also took to his Twitter and wrote a special post for the young Indian debutant Ishan and Indian skipper Virat for their amazing performances in the match. He also welcomed Ishan Kishan into International cricket. Hardik wrote:

“These two superstars stole the show. Welcome to international cricket, Ishhuuu @imVkohli @ishankishan51 @BCCI”
