Haris Rauf Makes Bold Remark About That Six From Virat Kohli

2022 wasn’t a great year for the Indian cricket team as they failed to fire on big occasions. Despite entering the T20 World Cup 2022 and Asia Cup 2022 as favorites in the marquee tournaments, the Indian side failed to reach the final. While India suffered embarrassing defeats in both tournaments, however, Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli made a heroic comeback to form and stole the show with his performances.

India defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 game and Virat Kohli became the highlight of the match. That game is considered to be one of the greatest ever played as the two arch-rivals lined up against each other in front of a jam-packed MCG crowd on October 23. All thanks to Virat’s heroics in the game, India managed to get the better of Pakistan by four wickets.

Virat Kohli, who is one of the greatest cricketers of all time, played his T20I career-best knock ever in that game. Kohli played an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off 53 deliveries. His knock was so magical that it even left  Pakistan’s bowler Haris Rauf stunned. In that game, Virat played some stunning shots after initially taking time to get settled at the crease. During his stay in the middle, Kohli smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes. However, his two back-to-back sixes on the last two balls of the 19th over of the run chase, which was bowled by Haris Rauf, remain everyone’s favorites till today.

Still Can't Work Out How He Hit That": Australia Great On Virat Kohli's Six Off Haris Rauf | Cricket News

The first six that Virat smashed straight down the ground stunned everyone at that time and are still etched in everyone’s minds even today. While a lot has already been said and written about that six,  Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has now opened up about it, saying that he was hurt to see that ball go flying for a stunning six. Speaking on Pakistan’s popular show ‘Hasna Mana Hai’, when a fan asked Haris about his immediate reaction after the big shot, the Pakistani bowler said:

“Of course, it hurt when that went for a six. I didn’t say anything but it hurt me personally. I thought something wrong had happened,”

He also added that Kohli won’t be able to play that shot again as they are quite rare in cricket and it was once in a blue moon thing. He said:

“Anyone who knows cricket knows what sort of a player he is. He has played that shot now; I don’t think he can do that again. Such shots are quite rare, you can’t hit them again and again. His timing was perfect, and it went for a six,”
