Harsha Bhogle Slammed A Popular Media For Disrespecting Ajinkya Rahane’s knock: Riding on the blistering century of Ajinkya Rahane, team India made a strong comeback in the ongoing second Test match as Australians claimed an eight-wicket win in the series opener at the Adelaide Oval.

Team India is headed towards a dominant series-leveling win at the MCG on the back of the stunning performances of Ajinkya Rahane, who scored a powerful century in the first innings, and the bowlers.

Ajinkya Rahane, the stand-in skipper’s 112-runs patient knock of 112 runs paved the way for team India taking a crucial 131-run first-innings lead against Australia, who were later reduced to 133/6 runs by the end of the third day’s play on Monday.

It happened during the first innings of the ongoing second Test match, Ajinkya Rahane walked in at number 4 and took the game by storm. All eyes and hopes were on Rahane, as India had already lost its top-three batsmen. However, Rahane soaked in all the pressure and played a terrific knock. He was able to complete his 12th Test century off 195 balls, smashing 12 fours.

 

Several cricketers – former and present, and fans have applauded the patient knock of Rahane. In the meantime, popular commentator and cricket analyst, Harsha Bhogle slammed ‘a popular news portal for their bizarre headline for their article on Rahane.

‘Telegraph Sport’ shared their article on Rahane with a bizarre headline that read: “Ajinkya Rahane benefits from dropped catches to claim 12th Test century as India withstand Australia assault and tak e control”

Harsha Bhogle slammed the news portal by writing how the headline writer missed most of the game. Bhogle wrote:

“Hard a laugh over this! You see what you choose to see. And this headline writer missed most of the game”
