Another day, another blockbuster innings from Suryakumar Yadav. The Indian middle-order batter left everyone in awe of his batting performances as he grabbed the World’s no.1 batter spot in the ICC rankings in the shortest format of the game. Having made his debut in March 2021, SKY took no time in cementing his place in India’s playing XI and establishing himself as one of the mainstays in the Indian batting line-up in the shortest format.

He has been a trailblazer who has taken the T20I format by storm. Not just he gave back-to-back consistent performances but the way he scored runs, with a high strike-rate, impressed one and all in the cricket fraternity. Besides this, his wide range of shots also earned him the title of India’s ‘Mr.360-degree’.

Now, after dominating 2022 with his powerful performances, Suryakumar Yadav has finally registered his first century of 2023. There is no stopping Suryakumar Yadav as he registered his 3rd T20I century in the ongoing series decider 3rd T20I against Sri Lanka at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot.

Surya reached the milestone in just 45 balls on Saturday (January 7). Coming out to bat first, the Indian cricket team lost Ishan Kishan early but Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi went all over Sri Lanka bowlers. Once Rahul Tripathi was dismissed, SKY walked out with all-guns blazing and took the game by storm. While the non-strikers kept losing wickets, playing short cameos, Surya remained fixed. He had only one plan in his mind – to bat. He remained unbeaten till the end of the innings. He played a stunning knock of 112* runs off just 51 deliveries and made the Indian cricket team post a mammoth total of 228 runs on the scoreboard

Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with amazing reactions to the brilliant performance of SKY. Among many, popular Indian commentator and cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle also took to his Twitter and hailed SKY for his amazing performance.

In his Tweet, Harsha wrote how many people can’t even dream of batting like SKY. He wrote:

“Not many people have batted as well as this in their dreams. #SuryakumarYadav”
