“He Disappeared…” – CSK Owner Revealed Dhoni’s Reaction After Receiving Bike As A Gift

MS Dhoni’s love for bikes and cars is well-known; the former India skipper owns over 100 of these items, many vintage ones. Many fans have spotted him riding a bike whenever he is in his hometown, Ranchi. CSK owner N. Srinivasan recalled one such great incident when he had gifted the CSK captain a bike and within quick time Dhoni was off on his two-wheeler, traversing the distance in Chennai!

Srinivasan reveals interesting anecdote about Thala

Speaking to Sportstar, CSK owner N. Srinivasan recalled a lesser-known anecdote, highlighting MS Dhoni’s fondness for enjoying his time on a bike. Srinivasan asserted that this down-to-earth nature of the CSK captain is adored by all city fans.

“We gave him [Dhoni] a motorbike because he likes motorbikes. He took it and disappeared. He rode all around the town. One of the reasons that he grew on Chennai and Chennai grew on him is the fact that whenever there was a match, you would suddenly turn around and see Dhoni on a bike next to you,” Srinivasan said.

“He has travelled the length and breadth of this city on his motorbike, which in its own way, endeared him to the people of this city,” he added.

Dhoni to continue leading CSK in IPL 2023

Coming to cricket, MS Dhoni had confirmed that he will lead CSK in IPL 2023 as well. The main reason to play, as Dhoni explained, is to bid adieu to his supporters in Chennai and the rest of India.

“Definitely [I will play IPL 2023]. It’s a simple reason: it will be unfair to not play in Chennai and say thank you [to the fans]. Mumbai is one place where, as a team and as an individual, I have got a lot of love and affection. But it wouldn’t be nice to the CSK fans,” the 40-year-old had told Star Sports in the last game of CSK in IPL 2022.

“And also, hopefully next year there will be an opportunity where the teams will be travelling so it will be a like thank you to all the different places where we will be playing games at different venues. Whether it will be my last year or not that’s a big question, because you know we can’t really predict about something two years down the line. But definitely I’ll be working hard to come back strong next year.”
