On Monday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team sent the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on a leather hunt. Heinrich Klaasen unleashed the beast in him as he smashed the RCB bowlers to all the corners of the ground, however, his one shot stole all the limelight.
Heinrich Klaasen Smashed Ferguson On M. Chinnaswamy’s Roof With Longest Six Of IPL 2024
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, the RCB captain wouldn’t have imagined that the SRH side would reach 100 in just seven overs and put them on the back foot from the start. The clash witnessed several sixes, initially by Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, and later Heinrich Klaasen took charge of the innings. Klaasen smashed a stunning 106-meter six, that landed on the roof of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Klaasen smashed Lockie Ferguson for a maximum over long-on, smashing the ball onto the roof of the stadium. The replays of the shot revealed that the sixer traveled a distance of 106 meters, matching the records of longest six of IPL 2024 set by Venkatesh Iyer and Nicholas against the same opposition.
