Here’s What Players Get To Eat During A Test Match At Lord’s

The second Test match between India and England turned out to be an absolute thriller. The Indian pacers stole the show both with the bat and the ball and helped the team to register a memorable win at the iconic Lord’s Stadium.

Meanwhile, a picture of the Lord’s lunch menu has been making rounds on social media, where the lunch menu presented to the cricketers is revealed. For the unversed, over the years, the menu at the Lord’s Cricket Ground has held the interest and attention of fans. During the just-concluded second Test match between England and India at the Lord’s Stadium, the buzz around the food being served was high.

Lord’s cricket ground has finally answered one of the mysterious questions by revealing the menu of the food served to the players. The menu consisted of many English and semi Indian dishes.

Day 5 menu: The menu began with pan-roasted Corn Fed Chicken Supreme that was defined as Risoni pasta splattered with braised chicken thigh, peppered with wild mushrooms, kale, peas, broad beans, and Madeira sauce. This was followed by Seared sea brass, and it had Singapore noodles in it, brimming with wild mushrooms and Bok Choy.

For vegetarians, Paneer tikka and a seven vegetable curry were presented in the menu course. It was followed by herb-roasted new potatoes, basmati rice, steamed broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower. The menu had another glittering dish of prawns dipped in Marie Rose Sauce. There were several options for the vegans as well as many cricketers have shifted their diet to veganism.

For dessert, the players were served with a bit of almond and apricot tart, which was followed by sunshine fruit salad.
