India’s young off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar has gone through a tough phase recently. Sundar sustained a finger injury on the tour of England last year. He then missed the England Test series, followed by the second leg of IPL 2021 and the T20 World Cup.
After recovering from the finger injury, the Tamil Nadu off-spinner tested positive for covid-19 and had to miss the ODI series in South Africa. He last played for India in March 2021, in a T20I against England in Ahmedabad. He has recently made his return through the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 148 runs in eight matches and also picking up 16 wickets, helping Tamil Nadu reach the final.
Sundar is set to make his comeback in the Indian team in the upcoming ODI and T20I series against West Indies.
On Sunday, Washington Sundar shared his new look and that has got fans buzzing. Sundar shared his new hairstyle – well, there is no hair. Yes, Sundar decided to shave his full head and go bald while keeping a stubble.

Now, this new look, bald, got fans to involve Rishabh Pant in this topic. The fans soon started pointing out that Sundar shouldn’t bowl to Rishabh Pant in his new bald look. Because the swashbuckling Pant likes to hammer bald spinners.
Netizens really had fun out of this as they suggested Sundar stay away from bowling to Rishabh Pant, the dynamic left-hander who enjoys smashing bald spinners for runs and sixes.
Here are some of the best reactions:

Well, it’s not just a meme or an exaggerated thought about Rishabh Pant smacking bald spinners. Last year, he tore into England’s Jack Leach, plundering the left-arm bald spinner for 88 runs in 59 balls, hitting 6 sixes and 7 fours for one dismissal.
Pant showed his attacking instincts every time he faced Australia’s Nathan Lyon across the two Test series. Against Lyon, the left-hander scored 229 runs off 347 balls, stroking 19 fours and 7 sixes, but got out 5 times to the off-spinner.
Another bald spinner that Pant has charged against is Moeen Ali, who was taken for 97 runs off 128 balls, 9 fours and 4 sixes by Pant. The southpaw has also walloped Roston Chase for 7 fours and 2 sixes in the 4 Tests they have met.
