IPL 2023 playoffs have started with a bang with Chennai Super Kings locking horns with Gujarat Titans in the ongoing Qualifier 1 round at the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. The crucial clash has marked the beginning of the playoff stage of the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League.

IPL Is Showing Trees Instead Of Dot Balls During CSK vs GT

Meanwhile, BCCI has made a noble decision to plant 500 trees across India every time a bowler bowls a dot ball in the ongoing IPL 2023 play-offs to do its bit towards environmental conservation.

Interestingly, this is the reason why TV broadcasters are currently showing tree instead of ‘dot’ symbol on the scorecard every time a dot ball is bowled.

This is a great initiative from the top governing body of cricket in India. This initiative will also spread awareness among people across the globe.

So far, 34 dot balls in CSK innings. BCCI will plant 17,000 trees – a great initiative by Jay Shah & BCCI – this will continue through the knock-outs.

Talking about the game, CSK got off to a good start as they joined 49 runs in the batting powerplay. GT won the toss and asked Chennai to bat first. The hosts almost lost Ruturaj Gaikwad in the 2nd over but a no-ball from Darshan Nalkande saved the opening batter.

Conway and Gaikwad didn’t look back from there and kept on progressing the scoreboard and provided CSK with a strong start by the end of the first powerplay.
