Going by the reports of the Telegraph, the final call will lie with the head of selection, Ajit Agarkar. However, Jay Shah’s silence on the matter is making everyone ponder that what exactly is going to be the fate of VK in the upcoming tournament.
The reports also state that VK may not be a good player of spin and in West Indies and USA, most of the surfaces are turners and this is even more of a reason why the Indian selection committee is bothered and concerned.
Only time shall tell what lies ahead of India and Virat but if this T20 World Cup doesn’t come to the Indian cabinet, prolonged meetings will be taking place and so will be the radical decisions that may change a majority of the Indian cricketing brass. Also, if VK performs well in the IPL, the entire dynamics may shift.
