He’s Basically The Captain Of All The 10 Teams At The Moment: Suresh Raina On Rohit Sharma

In a daring move ahead of the 2024 Indian Premier League, the Mumbai Indians re-signed Hardik Pandya from the Gujarat Titans to lead the team, succeeding the renowned Rohit Sharma. Many people in India are reacting negatively to this decision, but Rohit Sharma’s supporters are especially upset because they believe the captain is being disrespected.

Following a productive time with the Gujarat Titans, where he shown his versatility and leadership abilities, Hardik Pandya is making a triumphant comeback to the Mumbai Indians. The squad is entering a new era with his selection as captain, hoping to continue their winning streak started by Rohit Sharma.

Many Mumbai Indians supporters were shocked and disappointed by the decision to replace Rohit Sharma, who won five IPL championships with the team. Nonetheless, the Mumbai Indians’ upper management is certain that Hardik Pandya can take the club to new heights of success.

Fans still think Rohit Sharma should have gotten more love and respect from the squad, despite all the hoopla around Hardik Pandya’s comeback and captaincy. A lot of people are upset with Hardik Pandya and the Mumbai Indians’ management, and they are wondering why they made that choice.

Hardik Pandya faced boos and jeers in Ahmedabad during Mumbai Indians‘ first match against the Gujarat Titans. The frustrations directed towards Pandya were intensifying, especially considering Rohit Sharma’s replacement as MI captain. Fans expressed their disappointment and disapproval loudly, reflecting the emotional attachment many had to Sharma’s leadership. As the IPL season progresses, all eyes will be on Pandya to see how he navigates this challenging situation and wins back the support of the fans.

Suresh Raina calls Rohit Sharma as the captain of all the 10 IPL teams.

The T20 World Cup 2024 is set to kick off after the IPL, with Rohit Sharma leading the Indian team. Suresh Raina has revealed that Sharma will have the crucial task of selecting the Indian squad from the 10 teams competing in the IPL 2024. Essentially, Sharma is not just the captain of the national team but also the de facto captain of the IPL teams. He navigates the talent pool to form a formidable Indian squad for the T20 World Cup.

“When Rohit Sharma goes to Wankhede or anywhere (in the country), his fan army is very strong and the mindset in which he is playing right now, the way he led team India towards the series win against England,” Suresh Raina said via Jio Cinema.

“And he knows that 2 months later he will have to select the team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 from the 10 IPL teams only, so he’s basically the captain of all the 10 teams at the moment. So we cannot say that he is not the captain,” Raina concluded.
