Indian keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been receiving criticism from all corners because of his consistently poor performances for a long time now. However, despite his poor performances and bad form, Indian management has given him ‘n’ number of opportunities and has shown an ample amount of trust in him. But the cricketer has failed to convert the given opportunities into success.

Rishabh Pant was considered as the next big sensation when he was discovered. His clean hitters against arch-rivals like Australia and England, Rishabh Pant had gained himself respect and love from all his cricket fans. Ian Smith said that Pant is going to be a great performer for Team India in the future. In an interview, he agreed to the fact that is currently going through a tough phase but his future is very bright. He said:
“We are going to see a lot of Pant. It’s not about just playing the game but living it. Maybe, he has to learn a few things and they [team management] are teaching him the virtues of patience. The name of Rishabh Pant will be bigger in Indian cricket. Mark my words”
