The BCCI and the ICC announced the much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 schedule in a grand manner. The marquee tournament will kickstart on October 5 and will continue till the final clash which will take place on November 19th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15th at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Pakistan cricket team, whose participation was under the scanner because of ongoing political tensions with team India, will kickstart their campaign with a game against Qualifier 1 on October 6th.
ICC Sends A Stern Warning To Pakistan Ahead Of World Cup 2023

Ahead of the much-awaited tournament, the ICC has issued a statement that Pakistan has signed the agreement and the ICC is expecting Pakistan for the marquee ODI World Cup 2023. ICC was optimistic that Pakistan will come for ODI World Cup 2023. The statement read:
“Pakistan have signed a participation agreement to compete and we expect them to be there and have had no indications to the contrary All Members have to abide by the rules and the laws of their country and we respect that. But we’re confident Pakistan will be in India for the Men’s Cricket World Cup,”
However, PCB clarified that they need the Government of Pakistan’s clearance for any tour to India. Pakistan Cricket Board said they are waiting for the approval and will update the ICC. Check out PCB’s statement:
“The PCB requires the Government of Pakistan’s clearance for any tour to India, including the match venues. We are liaising with our government for guidance, and as soon as we hear something from them, we will update the Even Authority (ICC),”
He added: “This position is consistent with what we had told the ICC a couple of weeks ago when they shared with us the draft schedule and sought our feedback,”
