ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule: On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council finally announced the much-awaited schedule for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. With each of the 10 teams playing the other side once in the league stage, as many as 48 games will take place over a span of 46 days.
The much-awaited tournament will kickstart with a clash between the previous edition finalists England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. The final is scheduled to take place at the same venue in Ahmedabad on November 19th. Since the tournament is being played in a round-robin format, the knockouts start from the semifinals. The first semi-final will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai while the second semi-final will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Pakistan will kickstart their campaign with a game on October 6th
Pakistan cricket team, whose participation was under the scanner because of ongoing political tensions with team India, will kickstart their campaign with a game against Qualifier 1 on October 6th. The high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15th at the Narendra Modi Stadium. They will play their last league game against England on November 12th in Kolkata.
Pakistan will play its games in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata.
