Imad Wasim emerged as the stand-out performer with the ball as he helped Islamabad United defeat Multan Sultans by 2 wickets in the final clash of the Pakistan Super League 2024. Opening the bowling line for his side, Imad claimed an impressive five-wicket haul for just 23 runs in his four-over quota.

Imad Wasim turned out to be a nightmare for the opposition right from the start as he claimed the wickets of both the openers — Yasir Khan and David Willey in his very first over, reducing the Sultans to 14 for 2. He continued with his dominating performance as he claimed the wickets of key batters like Johnson Charles for just 4, Khushdil Shah for 11, and Chris Jordan for a duck, completing his 5-wicket haul.

Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan also contributed with 3 wickets, restricting the Sultans to 159 for 9 in their 20 overs. Usman Khan top-scored for Multan Sultans, scoring 57 runs off 40 balls, while Iftikhar Ahmed also played a crucial knock of unbeaten 32 runs off 20 balls.

Shadab Khan-led Islamabad United won the final clash of PSL 2024 against Multan Sultans. Islamabad chased down the target on the final ball of the tournament, with Martin Guptill top-scoring with a half-century.
