IND vs AUS: The Australian cricket team defeated the Indian cricket team in the 3rd ODI and managed to win the ODI series by 2-1. The Australian side won the match by 21 runs where they bowled out team India for 248 runs in 49.1 overs. Adam Zampa turned out to be the hero with the ball as he picked 4 wickets in 10 overs while giving away 45 runs.
Australia made a valiant effort and fought tooth and nail throughout the whole series. Ending the series on a high, Australia also became the top-ranked ODI side in the world.
In the 3rd ODI IND VS AUS , India was in a decent position at 185-4 in 35 overs where they required another 85 runs. However, Ashton Agar changed the tables in the 36 over when he picked 2 crucial wickets of Virat Kohli & Suryakumar Yadav. Kohli’s dismissal turned out to be the turning point of the game, where he scored 54 runs in 72 balls, smashing 2 fours and a stunning six.
Indian batters looked miserable once Kohli was dismissed. They didn’t rotate the strike and looked in a hurry to score runs, not allowing the bowlers to settle in. Hardik Pandya & Ravindra Jadeja also failed to take the game deep.
On the other hand, Australia would be riding high in confidence as not many gave them a chance as they posted a target of 270 runs where their batters got starts but couldn’t convert into a significant score.
Steve Smith impressed one and all with his captaincy. He was energetic and positioned the field perfectly behind his bowlers. Mitchell Starc had a rare poor day as he gave away 67 runs while going wicketless in his 10 overs. The Australian side has risen to the top of the ICC Rankings after winning the series against India 2-1.
