In the Ahmedabad Test, Virat Kohli will be attempting to overcome his recent run of poor performances and set new records.
All eyes will be on Virat Kohli when India takes on Australia in the fourth and final Border-Gavaskar Test. In the current series against Australia, Kohli has made just 111 runs in three games, continuing his dismal Test performance that began in 2019. His spinner-batting average has dropped from 115 in 2017–20 to 22.85 now. In the Test series against Australia, Kohli’s problems against spin bowling have been so glaring that left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann and his spin partner Todd Murphy have both sent Kohli back to the pavilion three times.
In the test against Ahmedabad, Virat Kohli will be attempting to shake off his current run of poor performances. Just 42 runs separate the right-handed batsman from reaching 4,000 Test runs at home. If Kohli succeeds in reaching this milestone, he will join Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Virender Sehwag as the only other Indian batters.
