IND vs BAN Match Prediction: Who Will Win The 2nd ODI Between India And Bangladesh?

Jatin KhandelwalBy Jatin Khandelwal06/12/2022Updated:09/02/2023No Comments3 Mins Read

What many people called India’s loss in the 1st ODI in Dhaka an ‘upset’ and a ‘shock’, those who have followed the Bangladesh cricket team know that they are a dominant team at home. Bangladesh haven’t lost an ODI series at home since October 2016.

Bangladesh even defeated India in a 3-ODI series at home back in 2015. Litton Das’ side will be looking to make a repeat of that historic series win again, now against an Indian team that includes their star batters Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul – 3 all-time greats in the ODI format and another potential one.

In the 1st ODI, it was the Shakib Al Hasan and Ebadot Hossain show with the ball – the spinner and the pacer picking 9 combined wickets – before Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman scripted a 10th-wicket partnership for ages – a stand of 51* unbeaten runs off 41 balls to take their side over the line with only a solitary wicket left.

On Wednesday, it’s all to play for for India, who will want to bounce back strongly and take the series to a decider, while the hosts will aim to clean up the series in the second ODI itself.

IND vs BAN Pitch report for 2nd ODI

Similar to the first ODI, expect another low-scoring game. The ball kept low, and the pitch was slow, and offered movement for both spinners and pacers.

IND vs BAN 2nd ODI predicted XIs:

Bangladesh are likely to stick with the winning combination.

Bangladesh predicted XI:

Litton Das (c), Anamul Haque, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman, Ebadot Hossain

If fit, Axar Patel will walk in the side, likely in place of Shahbaz Ahmed. There could be a toss-up between Kuldeep Sen, who made his debut in the first ODI and took two wickets but was also expensive, and Umran Malik, the high-pace fast bowler.

India predicted XI:

Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed/Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Sen
