IND vs ENG: Twitterati Applauded Kuldeep Yadav's Fighting Knock In Ranchi Test

Kuldeep Yadav showed his improved batting prowess in India’s first innings of the Ranchi Test against England, and that helped India avoid a huge first innings deficit.

Kuldeep Yadav has one century and six half-centuries in first-class cricket. He played with a decent technique and, what was more impressive was his temperament while defending and not getting under pressure.

The left-hander scored 28 runs, but his bigger contribution was that he stood in the middle with Dhruv Jurel for a long period of time as the duo took India closer to England’s first innings total of 353, inch by inch.

Kuldeep and Jurel formed a brilliant, fighting partnership of 76 runs in 202 balls, of which Kuldeep played 131 deliveries. He even looked like not getting out, but was dismissed due to some bad luck. He defended solidly a back of length ball from James Anderson, but he didn’t properly played it with the front face of his bat.

The ball hit his show and rolled onto the stumps. Kuldeep Yadav was shocked, and so was the Indian dressing room, because he had been batting so well, and a lack of fortune cost him his wicket.  Nonetheless, fans on Twitter applauded this impressive batting effort from Kuldeep, who helped India cross 250 along with Jurel.
