India suffered a 21-run shocking loss to New Zealand, who they had thrashed 3-0 in the ODI series, in the first T20I in Ranchi.

Courtesy of half-centuries from Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell followed by superbly controlled bowling spells from the spin duo of captain Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell, New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in the 3-T20I series.

The 2nd T20I in IND vs NZ series will be played on Sunday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, where Hardik Pandya’s team will aim to level the series, while Mitchell Santner’s side will look to hand India their first series loss at home in almost four years.

India have not lost a home series since March 2019!
