Hardik Pandya was an emotional man after the Indian cricket team pulled off a sensational four-wicket win against Pakistan in their T20 World Cup match. Chasing a target of 160, India was in deep trouble at 31/4 after the PowerPlay, however, Virat Kohli produced one of his career-best knocks of all-time to help the Indian cricket team script a brilliant 4-wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan.
While Virat Kohli stole the show with the bat, Hardik played an equally important role in India’s win. He picked a three-wicket haul with the ball to give Arshdeep Singh solid support as the Indian side managed to restrict the Babar Azam-led Pakistan to a score of 159 runs after winning the toss. Hardik got the wickets of Haider Ali, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz.
Later, with the bat as well, Hardik helped Team India win the match from almost an impossible situation. Hardik walked out to bat when Team India was struggling at 31-4. He steadied the situation for Team India and put up a partnership of 113 runs with Virat Kohli.
Kohli joined hands with Hardik Pandya and together they stitched a stunning partnership as they brought back the much-needed momentum to the game after a terrible batting collapse. He played a stunning knock of 40 in 37 balls. Though he was dismissed on the first ball of the 20th over, his knock played a crucial role in India’s win.
Meanwhile, after the win, Hardik Pandya broke down in tears as he remembered his late father. Hardik recalled how happy his father would have been to see this and stated that he can never thank his father for the sacrifices he made.
