IND vs PAK: Pakistani Bowlers Are Getting Trolled With Deadly Memes – Oh, how the tide changes. 8 days ago in Pallekele, Shaheen Afridi rattled the stumps of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Haris Rauf went through the defences of Shubman Gill. Naseem Shah took the lower-order wickets.

Amid the plenty of rain in Colombo, India rained fours and sixes in the IND vs PAK Super 4 encounter that was spread across two days, Sunday and Monday, a luxury offered to only this game in the Super 4 by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

If the breezy half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (56 off 49) and Shubman Gill (58 off 52) were the starters on Sunday, the main course on Monday from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul was too delicious. But the Pakistani bowlers certainly didn’t like the thumping they received throughout the 50 overs from the Indian top 4.

India resumed on Monday at 147/2 in 24.1 overs, and ended with a giant total of 356/2 in 50 overs, a total which was certainly way above par at the R.Premadasa Stadium.

On his comeback since May 1st, KL Rahul cracked his 6th ODI ton, while Virat Kohli, who does like this venue (3 centuries in his last 3 outings here) and this opposition, racked up his 47th ODI century, despite not looking at his best for most of the innings.

KL Rahul raised his half-century in 60 balls and his century in 100 balls. He scored 111* runs off 106 balls with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes. At the other end, it was a regular day’s work for Virat Kohli, who hit his 4th consecutive century in Colombo and his 3rd against Pakistan in ODI cricket.

For the Pakistani bowlers, it was a day – two days – to forget: Shaheen Afridi finished with figures of 1/79; Naseem Shah with 0/53 in 9.2 overs; Shadab with 1/71; Rauf leaked 27 runs in 5 overs before injury; Iftikhar Ahmed was pummelled for 52 runs in 5.4 overs, and Faheen for 74 runs in 10 overs.

As expected there were a spate of memes on Twitter for the shellacking the Pakistani bowlers received from India.
