Yes, as the teams lined up for their respective national anthems, skipper Rohit Sharmaโ€™s expressions were captured on the big screen as the packed Melbourne stadium sang the Indian national anthem along with the Indian cricketers.  Rohit Sharma, who is leading the Indian cricket team for the first time in a World Cup tournament, couldn’t hold his emotions after the national anthem.

โ€œLook at Rohit Sharma, look at his emotions; he has played so much cricket for India, but still what it means for him,โ€ said commentator Ian Smith. Almost overcome by emotions, Rohit had his eyes shut and smiled as he soaked in the electric energy when India’s national anthem crescendoed.

โ€œNothing, absolutely nothing, can beat hearing a packed house singing the national anthem in a faraway land,” Tweeted Harsha Bhogle and we absolutely agree with him.

Besides Harsha Bhogle, Indian cricket fans also took to their social media and poured their emotions on  seeing their captain experiencing a range of emotions on the field during the national anthem.
